Gladiators – Obstacle Course Race

Saturday 18^th March 2023 – Mountain Challenge

Gladiators season 2 – you are about to experience the roughest Obstacle Course Race (OCR) in the region – an almighty battle is about to take place at XQuarry. This season there will be 2 race with different courses and challenges but the main challenges will still be within the quarry with the short 6k loop.

The November race will venture out into the desert with steep dune climbs and the season final The Mountain challenge will lead up to the top of the plateau for the 12k races (actual distance is approx 10km), the 6k race will remain inside the quarry.

The winners will receive trophies and amazing prizes.

You and your fellow Gladiators will face more than 30 challenges that test your strength, endurance, agility, physical skills and mental stamina – including challenges that were built to test the toughest 4×4 off road vehicles that frequent the XQuarry park.

Throughout the 6km course you will navigate rocky terrain and challenging climbs, move rocks, scale boulders, trudge your way through our mud pit, and use your wit and agility to move swiftly through the gauntlet of obstacles that await you.

For our top Gladiators, the challenge is twice as hard as you will venture into the desert or climb Faya mountain. There will be stations with free drinking water and shade along the trail. All essential way points and obstacles will be marshalled to ensure route finding.

Runners and registered spectators will be able to watch and support the Gladiators in our Athlete Village from our viewing area/s with F&B available, music and activities. We will also have an area to wash the dirt away.

PARKING will be available by the Athlete Village directly to the start and finish of the race.
